Great Start to the Hockey Season

St Joseph’s College Hockey Teams, continue to excel on the pitch. The Under 14 girls Hockey team of Laura Clapham, Beth Hales, Chelsey Mitchel, Aisling Humphries-Griffiths, Annie Rose Day, Tammy Palihawadana, Katie Millington and Rebecca Nallon stormed to victory in the recent Reading Schools 7-aside invitational tournament, winning all their matches and without conceding a single goal.

The Under 13 team has also just qualified for the semi finals of the Reading Girls 7-aside Hockey league, which takes place after half term. The team of Charlotte Tanner, Elle Vietz, Lily Mew, Charlotte Denton, Olivia Hammerton, Rebecca Rogers, Sumayyah Khan and Anna Wilson, have played matches every Wednesday evening since the beginning of the Autumn term. On the way, they have taken great victories against The Abbey and Leighton Park to progress through to the latter stages of the competition.

Well done to both teams.
