Year 11 Charity Assembly
Year 11 Charity Assembly

We felt we have raised the profile of the Thames Valley and Chiltern Air Ambulance during our Y11 assembly on 28 November 2011. This was greatly assisted by the presence of 'Bob the Paramedic' (pictured). Having spoken to school friends since they are now aware of what the red and yellow helicopter they see in the sky is. It often flies over our school very low as when transferring patients to Royal Berkshire Hospital it lands in the grounds of Reading School and then the patient is transferred by land ambulance to the hospital. This charity solely relies on fundraising activities like ours and does not receive any money from the government. We hope it is something we never need, but we may know someone who has needed it. At the cake sale we held at school we raised £38.10.
We were thinking of holding a charity football match and maybe another cake sale in the future.
